Description

Amazon S3 is an object storage service, which differs from the block and file cloud storage. Files are stored in S3 bucket in form of objects with their metadata included and given an ID number to each file. Applications use this ID number to access an object. Unlike file and block cloud storage, a developer can access an object of S3 bucket via an AWS rest API. S3 provides features to

  1. Enable server logging
  2. Enable versioning to keep versions of objects
  3. Create a static website
  4. Set the metadata of files/objects
  5. Set the access specifier of each object
  6. Encrypt objects with AWS KMS service
